Fu Jen Catholic University has a troubled history. Originally founded in Peking in the mid twenties of the 20th century and confiscated under Mao in 1949 it was refounded in 1960 in Taiwan in an ostentatious spirit of liberation. And today it seems as if holding up this spirit is more important than ever.
It is therefore delightful to see how relaxed FJU's Fashion Faculty blends a cosmopolitan understanding of styles with traditional language of form and sends out tayloring rascals with reliability. The Fashion Scout format presents the outcome since 2017 and it always is a prom you don't wanna miss.
