a suggestion for everyday or not..
English's designs for SS24 refer to the sense and feel of childhood memories.
This is a private, emotional and individual issue. So it doesn't surprise
how intimate the upcycled sustainable textiles of her creations drape
around the diverse bodies of the models. For this show these clothes are
their very own. And despite there is a lot of material and structure
the pieces have a comfortable fit, allowing breathing and moving in a
personal flow, made for all your needs and actions.
Sometimes they seem to relive ancient combat wear and I ask myself
if this historical suggestion or the natural familiar materials are
making me think of people who jumped right out of a Renaissance Painting.
What I saw and shot in the warm light of the Iconic Images Gallery
was a clear, obviously confident and meaningful aesthetic that cleaned
the plate of last London Fashion Week just at the beginning.
And I love the Idea of being shielded by the heart.
